waiting for "Snowmagedon"

snow has pretty much completely melted.  Wind picking up. Clouds so thick, yet bright...lovely silver glow to the daylight, but not a flake of snow.

9:45 am - darker, rain, and then almost immediately stops.

10:35 am- giant cloud from radar must be passing over; crow cawing, airplane passing over; sky lightening; humming bird making the flower rounds on the camellia bush.

10:39 am - rain with odd snow clump mixed in.

10:44 am - rain, but if wind picks up, suddenly more clumps appear.

11:06 am - now clumps are coming down hard like a rain squall, must be a mix.  Straight down, like a curtain, must be mixed with rain, am only looking out window, not going to check outside.  It's oddly loud, and not at all sticking.

11:12 am - just rain again, I can hear it hit the leaves of the camellia as well as the ground now.  A few ice pellets; it's dark again.  I am way too distracted by thoughts of impending weather events.

12:36 pm - Suddenly started to dump snow about 45 minutes ago, not sticking to the pavement, yet.  It's very pretty.

12:39 pm - people are leaving, one by one.  It's so, so quiet.

4:55 pm - Snow has just about completely melted, light, transparent clouds, scuttle swiftly beneath a clear sky and a light breeze knocks at the camellia branches.
